April 2012

The Rumble Roller has arrived at Melanie Betts Physiotherapy. This is the next generation of foam roller designed for self myofascial release. An excellent product for home treatment. The RumbleRoller Manipulates Soft Tissue - Like a Massage Therapist!
The surface of the RumbleRoller contains specially designed bumps that are firm, but flexible, much like the thumbs of a massage therapist.

As you roll over the top of the RumbleRoller, the bumps continuously knead the contours of your body, gently stretching soft tissue (muscle and fascia) in multiple directions. This action erodes trigger points, helps restore flexibility, and brings quick relief to common types of muscular pain. By design, the RumbleRoller's bumps are firmer than muscle tissue, but much softer than bone, so they deflect out of the way if they contact your spine or other bony protrusions. Call for details.

New Rehabilitation packages

We have now teamed up with partners at MOTUS TRAINING to offer comprehensive rehabilitation packages for those recovering from injury, surgery or looking to return to work. Whether you are an individual, team coach or an employer, we can design a package to meet your requirements. Working together in this way we are able to provide each patient with the best combination of treatment, exercise and therapies to and show a clear, safe and speedy path to recovery. A typical package may be 12 weeks, beginning with a thorough assessment from one of our  Chartered Physiotherapist.  From the assessment a bespoke treatment plan is devised in conjunction with the Sports Therapists, Personal Trainers and Strength Coaches at Motus Training. Patients then attend one-to-one rehab/training sessions with a member of the Motus Training Team at Motus' purpose-built studio  which is equipped with all the latest exercise equipment to help your rehabilitation. Regular reviews and reassesment with the physiotherapist will be carried out to progress/modify and design the next phase of your programme.  For further dtails please call Melanie.
